I am not a fan (health-wise) of peanuts so came up with this sauce as a replacement for the delicious peanut sauce you often get at Thai and Vietnamese restaurants. This version uses almond butter and is equally, if not more, delicious - and a whole lot healthier. We love to use this as a dip for veggie-filled rice paper rolls, but it's also delicious as a salad dressing or just as something to dip crudités into.
Almond Butter Dipping Sauce (GF, paleo, vegan)
Ingredients:
1/3 cup almond butter (order here)
3/4 tbsp gluten-free tamari (or GF soy sauce)
3/4 tbsp honey
1/2 tbsp fresh lemon or lime juice
water to thin (I use about 3 - 4 tbsp)
Method:
1. Mix the almond butter, tamari, honey, and lemon juice together in a mixing bowl.
2. Add water until thinned to desired consistency.
3. Dip food into this delicious, healthy sauce!
